Founded in 1995, Bouchard Inn began as the vision of Albert and his wife, Sarah, who chose picturesque Newport, Rhode Island as the ideal place to establish their restaurant and inn. Arriving aboard a classic motor yacht—once owned by Humphrey Bogart—they relocated their family and found the perfect setting in the center of this charming sailing city to bring their dream to life.

With Albert as chef and Sarah overseeing the dining room, they quickly built a respected establishment with a loyal following. Their success led to the expansion of the Inn and the addition of ventures such as The Revolving Door, earning them recognition as a top culinary and lodging destination in New England.

In 2024, Albert and Sarah stepped back from the restaurant industry, passing the baton to the team behind Audette Restaurant, Thames Street Kitchen and Mission Burger.
